My husband makes a very generous income let me first state that information. He gets Common Stock Dividend checks (quarterly dividend check) from time to time that amount to pennies. For example. 31 cents to be exact. He let them pile up (because of the small amounts) on his desk at our home. I suggested that instead of throwing them out just go ahead and deposit them even if they only total up to the amount of a view dollars.
Wouldn't you know we were notified that the checks had expired and that we were charged a fee on every check that had expired. The teller refused to waive the charges as a result of an innocent mistake! My husband made a scene in the bank stating that " This bank is going to charge me a fee for a. 31 cent check that expired and on each check!" How insane. The teller eventually gave in as we asked to speak to a supervisor realizing how moronic she had been. There are just some things in life that require fairness and flexibility. To take advantage of every situation to make a damn dollar of someone that never bounced a check, never overdrew and account, and who keeps 300k of our money locked into their institution is awful!
Based on the incident that happended to us my husband pulled his funds and walked right over to the bank across the street and opened accounts! I would suggest that every single person with their complaints (if you haven't done so already) is to discontinue doing business with this type of institution.
No one wants to hear double talk excuses when it comes to their money. No matter how little or how much money you are making.
They are worse then the mechanic that breaks something under the hood of your car to charge you extra! I am seriously thinking of calling my friend at Dateline NBC to do a full investigation on this bank.
