Unwilling to fix THEIR MISTAKES, RUDE, DISHONEST BILLING Ripoff

On 11-30 I recieved a letter stating" This is notify you that cheack number # in the amount of! @#$.*$ was returned unpaid and has been referred to Certegy Payment Recovery Services, inc for collection.

At this point this check has not been posted to your credit file as a collection item. If you do not paythte above referenced amount in full, (a 30 dollar fee added to my check amount) our client may request that the unpaid check information appear in your personnal credit file. This may affect your ability to obtain further credit. Also, this check being reported to a national check verification database as authorized by our client. Your check writing priviledges may be denied until ths is paid.

The letter goes on to say whom to contact adn gives a Validation notice.

I contacted them the moment i recieved this letter. It turns out that i did NOT bounce a check, I did NOT have insuffienct funds. They sent the check to the wrong bank, it came back (Obviously) And they did not bother to forward it to the correct bank. They simply figured I'd roll over pay a $30.00 for a mistake THAT WASN"T mine... They said and I quote"Your check was returned as undelieverable". They will not resend the check. They will not work with me in any way. My bank has faxed them a letter and a print off from my bank stating and i'm quoting here "Please note MS. Summers has not been overdraft at all in the past 12 month period. Check number # written on 11-8 to Home Depot was never presented to the bank for payment."
Attached to a print off stating the above mentioned.

I have contacted Certegy a total of 5 times, each time something isn't right. The letter was hand written not typed. The letter wasn't faxed with a company fax cover sheet, the letter wasn't written on compnay letterhead, excuses!!! Excuses!!! Excuses!!!

I went to purchase the remainder of my Christmas presents for my children tonight and as promised in the first letter. I am now unable to write a check. NOT because i'm bouncing checks (I HAVE NEVER) Not because I haven't tried to get this situation resolved in everyway possiable (I HAVE). Because these people can pure and simple. It was humilating to say the least to have all of those purches bagged and ready to go, people in line behind me staring and not be able to purchase them due to an error THEY MADE to begin with.

I came home immediatly and contacted them and they informed me when they get the proper documentation and payment in 5 or 6 days I can again write checks. Remeber please. This was their error not mine. The money was in the bank for the first check to the last check, i have the funds... Now i am unable to write a check until they resolve the issue. (my bank and Certegy) then after it's finally resolved i must wait 5 to 10 days before my check writing abilities are reinstated. AGAIN I did NOT overdraft. I did not fail to pay, I did not make the mistake they did... BUT it is I who is suffering for it. Is their nothing i can do about this? It can happen to you next. Lets stop it now...
