I had similiar experiences. I was also told that i had definetly recieved a government grant. However i was told that my account would not be debited. I was told that they needed the information to credit my account with the amount i had recieved. I was surprised when i found the debit and when i recieved my packet i immediately called the customer service number. Well i am still holding and my call has gone on for 47 minutes. They obviously don't want to 'assist' their customers. The web sites are useless as well. One is not fully up and running and the other gives no imformation whatsoever. I am very upset that they are using persons with very heavy accents to make the phone calls. It makes it very hard to understand them and they are obviously using this to thier advantage.
I however specifically asked questions and was assured that they could not debit my account without the bank routing number. Obviously now i realize all they have to do is call the bank and get the routing number. I am so angry. Of course the 49.95 is gone. But if they won't answer the phone how am i supposed to stop the 299.95 from being stolen out of my account? Just kidding i know i am already on the phone to my bank. Also the coupon book that i was sent with 1000 dollars worth of coupons? I have to send 1 to 2 dollars a piece, for every 10 dollar coupon, to recieve the coupons. What is that about? If you get this call hang up the phone! That is what i normally do. I wish i had this time.
