Thank you for your report on here — I was almost scammed out $1100 - VANCOUVER TRUST COMPANY — called me within a week of my applying for a personal loan. They stated I was approved and would either need a co-signer or western union them $1100 for insurance purposes. Luckily & WENDY HODGES, my "loan consultant" isnt as bright as me — ad her evasive answers to my questions led me to think this was a scam!!!
After speaking and reporting them to the FBI and FTC — I learned any loan company that aske for money upfront prior to funds being released is committing an ILLEGAL act.
There "official address" in Washington state is actually the National Park Services, Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and VTC has NEVER been located at that street address.
A few more findings my research has brought to me &the Washington state dept. Of Revenue nor the Sec. Of State shows that Vancouver Trust Company is authorized to do business in WA state and the company is NOT licensed by the dept. Of financial institutions as a "Trust" company to lend money in WA.
The area code for the companys telephone number (647) is for Ontario, Canada not Wa state.
The company website was registered by a sole individual in Ontario - Canada
What a scam!!!
Even though I was not out any dollars - -they DO have all my personal information & IDENTITY THEFT & I am going to seek compensation from VTC as well as WENDY HODGE
