I applied for a loan thru "Vancouver Trust" and was called back almost immediately telling me that I was approved, but in order to get the loan I had to Western Union 1,101.08 to a company called Carison Clark in Alberta, Canada.
Fortunately, I was leery of this company from the beginning so when I was given the Carison Clark name, I looked it up on the Internet. Luckily, from someone entering their consumer complaints on this website, I caught it in time before sending them any money. However, they do now have my checking account information, driver license information and SSN.
I am currently in the process of getting a new checking account so they cannot drain me of the funds that are in my account. I am also in the process of contacting the police to report this scam and the credit bureaus to make a note on my account of this scam.
People like this need to be stopped and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There Website needs to be taken off before this happens to someone else.
Fortunately, I caught on to them before I was out any money but others won't be so lucky. Now, I have to do a lot of things to correct this situation before it gets worse but at least I'm not out of any money.
