My husband has ordered products from Handi-Tech before. He thought he was helping handicapped workers and being handicapped himself, he felt good about it.
When I saw what they were charging for lightbulbs, garbage bags, an American flag and food storage bags, I told him the prices were outrageous, don't order anything more.
We had not heard from Handi-Tech for quite awhile when UPS delivered an order of food storage bags. We did not order anything so we had UPS return the bags.
Handi-Tech called us and asked why we returned the bags. We didn't order them we replied and she became real nasty.
I have to point out here that they won't talk to me, they hang up when I question them as to why they want to talk to my husband. So they wait to get him on the phone first.
This woman screamed at my husband that she would ruin our credit if we did not pay for the bags. She insisted that we had ordered them. He was angry but he told her to send the bill we would pay. When he told me this, I said don't pay them. We had paid for bags we ordered in the past and she was trying to scam us.
But the bill came and he paid it. $275.95 for six boxes of food storage bags that we did not order, do not have nor do we want.
Their approach is slick. They talk to you like you are an old friend. My husband thought he was helping fellow handicapped people.
Recently we had another phone call from the disabled veterns telling us that they were finally sending us the bags we had ordered. When my husband said we didn't order any bags they hung up. This happened several times.
Again, they were very nasty to me when I questioned them. They call, give their first name and asked for my husband. When I asked what the call is about, they get nasty and tell me it is none of my business. I have a feeling these people are from Handi-Tech also.
