This is report on Helping hands of hope, Handi-tech, I-glo Workshops and the other names they go under.
My story so far: Years ago (5/6) my ex-wife received a call from these guys asking her to buy a few trash bags for about $30. She thought they were a charity so she ordered the bags, received them and paid.
Since then they repeatedly call saying that I have ordered more stuff from them (zip lock bags, light bulbs, trash bags etc). I have always told them I did not place the order and I have asked them not to send anything. (The price creeps up each time).
However, they have still send packages and invoice me. I have returned all the packages (after taking photo's) and on one occasion a collection agency started to harass me; they ended up filing a claim on my credit report.
On Sept 26 a man claiming to be "Andrew Smith" from Helping Hands, called claiming that I had placed an order for some Zip-locks and that I had agreed to pay $349, I told him (repeatedly) that I had not, but he kept insisting (about 20-30 times) that I had. Eventually he called me a "bold face liar". I told him to cancel the order, he claimed that it could not be canceled.
I threatened to take legal action for the "bold face liar" insult. He started to sound worried and claimed that he was not part of Helping hands or "any of those other companies", he than started to sound nervous and apologized for the insult. I made him say that the "order" would be canceled.
