Fraudulent Billing practices Ripoff

I signed up with WorldCom Wireless back in 2000. The 1st phone I had received never worked - so they had given me a new phone number. At first, I didnt receive a phone bill for the 1st 6 months, and then one day received 9 bills at once. Some of the bills were for the phone number that I originally had, that was changed a week later - I also noticed that the monly charge of $34.99 that i originally signed up for was changed to over $50 a month. The total balance that was due upon receipt was well over $800 - for both phone numbers. I called Worldcomm, and either got transferred to a dead extention or the customer rep said that it was taken care of, and then I would receive the same set of bills again now the balance was over $1000. Obviously, i tried to cancel my service, which they slapped a $300 penalty on. I owed so much money to this company, that I didnt really have to give. I started paying little by little back what they finally told me I owe, but sent me to collections anyway. I finally settled with collections after many sleepless nights and angry phone calls to WorldCom.

I wish there was a class action suit going on that I could get some of my money back - I think i paid them more than I owed anyways...
