I signed up for Worldcom Wireless in August. I recieved monthly bills as usual for $35.00 a month until December. From December until May I didn't receive any bills. I tried calling numerous times, but could never get through their phone system.
Finally, when I received a bill in May it was for $700 with itemized calls only for one month (not totalling $700). At the time I was moving across the country and tried calling to get my number and area code switched over.
I called numbers for Worldcom Wireless for three days repeatedly and could not find a single person on the other end of the phone that knew what to do with my account. They were all "unable to access" my information because I was now out of state. I was transferred to other numbers which invariably cut off the phone line.
I dealt with rude people consistently. The invoices are now well over $1200, with NO ITEMIZATION! They continually add a monthly charge of $35.00 (the normal monthly fee) but the balance jumps by nearly $100 every new invoice. I have called three times to get my service turned off - They have failed to do so. However each new bill is "due upon receipt".
I have not paid this balance and have tried to take up the issue with their so-called "customer service", but again I can't get anyone of any use on the phone. The invoices now say that my service could be terminated if I don't pay. I've WANTED my service terminated since June!
Worldcom Wireless is a money sucking machine using a fraudulent means of collecting invoices that no one can verify.
