I received a phone call from this telemarking one evening. After speaking with a gentleman with an accent, don't know what accent, I am hispanic, and I know it wasn't spanish.
Anyway after a long speach about movies passes, I told him I wasn't interested. He was so persistant, so when he said I could have 4 movie passes for only $3.95 (s&h), I told him if all he needed was $3.95 for s&h, I will take them. About 3 days later they deducted $3.95 twice and $119.90 from my checking account. I was furious, because I knew they were going to withdraw a one time fee of $3.95, but when they took the 2nd $3.95 and $119.90, I called them.
They then said that my conversation was recorded and that I had agreed to this, I told them if my conversation was recorded, then they also heard that I was told to say Yes on a question I wasn't sure how to answer. Anyway I demanded my refund and they said I needed to complete a form that they would mail me.
The money was withdrawn on 03/11/05 (all three charges), I received their authorization form dated 03/21/05 on 03/24/05 and signed and returned it on 03/25/05. On 04/26/05, I called them to see where my refund was and they said that my form was processed on 04/05/05. That I should wait 10 to 14 days, well I have been calling every other day to see where my refund is.
I also asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and guess what, they won't let me talk to one. I have been calling ever since every other day, and still have had no result. Today right before I wrote this, again I called them and the same story, wait 10 to 14 days. Every time I'vd called (9 times), I get a person with the same old accent.
