I too have been a victim of Tele$hit! Yesterday, I was embarrassed to have a check declined while other customers watched. I will never spend another penny at the Oasis staton in Stillwater. Now, I'm sure the on lookers first thought was "what a loser" because that's what I would have thought.
I asked the teenage clerk for a phone number to call so I could resolve this matter and with a smug look on her face, she found the printed slip that was shat from the cash register and handed it to me. I called the number when I got home and found that it was an automated system (they are too gutless to have an actual person talk to you).
After I entered the huge amount of info they asked for, it told me that my check was declined for any of the following reasons: 1. Check # too low 2. Check writting history 3. Amount of check 4. Other factors. The check was for $40.45, I had $2800 in my account, the check # was in the 6000's, I have NO unpaid NSF's!
A recorded message said in six days this action will lapse and future checks will be considerd on a check by check basis. Hmmm... I can't wait to write another check!
I know I'm just one consumer but, if everyone who has been wronged by this corporation stands up and kicks them in the balls with a class action lawsuit they will maybe see the error of their ways. And to the dumba$ employee rebuttal, I too got a code 3 and you don't know what you're talking about! Come on people, lets kick some a$!
