Ameriquest Mortgage contacted us about refinancing. They made it so easy. We have been with this company for about 8 years now and it has been the worst time of our lives.
First, some payments were not credited in time so we had late fees all the time. Eventually, two payments were returnedto us. No more payments were accepted after that. They foreclosed on our home. Having no other place to turn my husband and i filed for bankrupcy, because we still had 3 children living at home.
We had bought this home with 26000 down from the sale of a small home that we had lived in for 25 years. Our present home ha s been apraised at 133,000. It is in a very nice part of corpus christi, texas. Our home is 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 2story, 2 car garage, with a service drive in back. At the present time, ameriquest mortgage has again said that we are delinquent and again returned 3 payments and are not accepting any more. They are foreclosing on us again and asking the bankrupcy court to dismiss the bankrupcy.
We would like to be able to sell our house and be done with this nightmare. My husband has taken all of this very hard. He is a diabetic, 60 years old, retiring at the end of this month, a veteran of the vietnam war, with not much to show after working so hard. At present time we are awaiting word from our lawyer to see if we can sell our home as soon as the bankrupcy is dismissed. Most of our furniture is in storage, and we hope to sell before ameriquest has a chance to foreclose. We trust in the good lord and we know that all things work for good to those that love god. We pray for strength. Please, can someone put an end to this nightmare? Our hearts are heavy as we look for a house to rent. And with our credit? This should not be so. This is america!
