I have noticed by reading the numerous reports that the address and phone number of the company changes pretty frequently. My conflict with them started when I noticed a $20.00 charge on my bank card. I had no idea what this charge was for.
I looked up the information given on my bank statemant and actually found usacomplaints. Coms website. After reading a few of the posts I called one of the 800 numbers listed. There was no number or address listed on the bank site. I called and told the woman that I did not authorize this charge and that I wanted to know how they had gotten my information. I was told that by signing up for classmates.com I had clicked yes to their offer.By giving my e-mail address I authorized them, (WLI Reservation Rewards), to charge my account.
Now I do not recall ever in my entire life clicking on one of the accept this offer buttons on any site during any order ever. She insisted I did. I told her that this was a fraudulent transaction and it needed to be taken care of immediately. She told me that someone in my house hold may have signed up without my knowing.
I questioned the cats and they all denied it. I told her that her business preactices were unethical and that the company was going to end up in court. She started yelling at me and told me that I shouldn't click on the yes I would like more information boxes from now on.
I have contacted classmated regarding this matter.
Here is the letter WLI Reservation Rewards sent to me after agreeing to credit my account.
This notice confirms that your membership in Reservation Rewards has been canceled as of 03/20.
Your cancel confirmation number is:
We have issued a refund of your membership fee. This refund will appear as a credit to your account within the next 3-5 business days.
Please let us know if your request was resolved to your satisfaction. All responses submitted will go to our Customer Service Director for review because your feedback is important to us.

Unfortunately, there was no way to know this was going to happen. I always research any companies I plan on doing business with. However, I didnot plan on doing business with this company. I assume by the tone of the other letters, nobody plans on doing business with this company. We all found out too late. I think the only way to stop them is to stop other companies from doing business with them. We need to collectively somehow make these legitimate companies aware of these fraudulent activities and stop them from doing business altogether. Any ideas?
