On 2/24, I ordered flowers for my mother on line at 1-800-flowers.net. One of the annoying pop-up windows belonged to WLI Reservation Rewards (a.K.A. Webloyalty.com, Inc.)
When you click on the window to get rid of it, it automatically signs you up for WLI Reservation Rewards membership and, an automatic credit card billing of $7.00 per month, all without my knowing authorization.
I just noticed today that I have been getting a reoccurring monthly billing for $7.00 from WLI Reservation Rewards for the past 6 months ($42.00), and I did not knowingly sign up for this membership. This is Fraud and Thievery!
I called them up today (8/26/03) and canceled the membership; they will refund me only $7.00. I am not at all happy with this companys fraudulent Internet business practice.
The (Reservation Rewards, a.K.A. Webloyalty.com) Pop-up window steals your credit card information from the on line company you are doing business with. I believe this violates Federal law.
