When my son was 11 months old I finally went back to work. I chose a daycare that was close to my work. Little did I know that it would be the worst mistake of my life. The first and only week my son was there more things happened beoynd belief. I went to pick up my son on the first day and a mother stood there asking why her son wasn't given his required medicine.
The next day I walk in to hear yet a nother mother ask where the finger bruised shapes came from on her son. The thrid day I walk in to hear a boy fell off a merry go round and busted his head open. They didn't even know how to contact his mother! On the forth day I walked in to see my friends 4 month old baby under the babybed laying in his own spitup. I was horrified but had to put my son in there one more day before he would start a new daycare on the following monday.
I droped my son off at 5:45 that morning and recieved a call from my mother saying that they called her to come and get him because he was running a 105 fever. And that was at 10am. They said he started felling bad around 7 but thought nothing of it. But they didn't even have the nerve to call me at work to tell me sooner. I rushed him to the doctor just to have them hospitilize him for a intestinal type virus. He was in our local hospitial for a week and then was transfured to Childrens hospitial in Dallas to be there for 2 weeks before coming home.
Following the time that he was sick 5 more children had the same thing happen but not as bad as he had. They said that a child was sick that he was around more often than the others but the parents took him out 2 days before my son ended up sick. Tests showed that my son caught what he had from the boy that was no longer enrolled in the daycare. The only other thing that bothered me was the amount of times that the childrens diapers where changed. My son ended up with a rash that was as red as a fire truck.
It took us over a year to get rid of the rash that he had. He was coming home with other kids pacifiers and bottles. I suggest that any parent in there right mind will not put there child in these peoples care.
