I bought an HP desktop last year at a post-Thanksgiving sale. The computer has worked well. However, the wireless keyboard died. As the computer was still under warranty, I called tech support. They proceeded to tell me (1) that the computer I purchased did not come with a wireless keyboard and (2) they could not find the serial and product numbers of the keyboard itself. I assured them I wasn't lying and offered to take the keyboard to a local HP printer repair site so they could verify the keyboard numbers and show them that their concerns were ill founded. They have now escalated the issue two levels. I am not sure when I will hear on the matter and I can't use my computer. They have beaten me. Delays and obfuscation of the this nature make the warranty an illusory promise.
