My husband and I purchased 49 Pella Architect Series Windows and one 4 panel patio door in the fall of 2009 for our home. Pella was forced, because of all the manufacturing defects to provide replacements for nearly every single item we purchased. Those replacements were delivered in early after several months of persistence on our part. Pella left a large amount of replacement windows stacked in our garage and left. Pella told us that they decided not to install all the items, but would pay for the installation of those items. Pella never provided the funds to install those items. They are still stacked, new in the packaging. The 2nd set of windows that were delivered (a few installed) all contained the exact same manufacturing defects that the 1st set had. Pella refused to fix the 2nd set and in fact refused to even communicate with us. I should tell you that we paid for our windows in full the day we ordered them. That was our mistake! We are now in the midst of having this settled in a court of law. Our home in inhabitable because of the water/snow/air that flows freely into our home through these windows. Please do your homework before you place your family into a situation where you are homeless. Read all the posts that you can locate! As we all know, many corporations have problems that arise. It is how a corporation handles those problems that keep customers. Trust us; we will never be customers ever in our lives!
