I was shopping for a sleeper sofa and found one at the Fountain Valley store. I had just moved and was indecisive so I asked if I could cancel the order at any time which I was assured I could. Because there was only one in stock the salesperson required that I put 25% down to hold the sofa.
A couple of days later I called and canceled the order and was told my card would be credited back. Three months later I have called the store repeatedly 10-15 times and have been assured by customer service, the salesperson, and other employees that my order was canceled and my credit processed by accounting.
I then tried to dispute through my credit card company who cannot obtain a response from them either.
I called customer service again today and was informed this time that the order was still active and only the store manager can cancel orders.interestingly enough I've called twice at the direction of the employees, and the store manager is amazingly unreachable and has no voicemail.
Stay away from Linder's unless you want to deal with the most inept, evasive, and shady of companies. Truly maddening experience.
