I am a concrete contractor in Las Vegas, NV. Casino Ready Mix is a supplier of concrete. I've always paid them C.O.D. And they've always had accounting problems. When a contractor uses one company you, of course, get a lower price and this is the only reason for my patronage to them. Until I could not forgive their mistakes any longer. They had always arrived late to jobs, or with the wrong product, or they mixed it wrong and insisted that they mixed it right (I knew better). Finally, they sent out the wrong product and it was obvious but they assured me that when it dried it would be fine. Well, it wasn't fine, it looked terrible and the home-owner was very upset. The invoice even showed the product to be mixed wrong on the pounds of color added per yard of concrete. This is concrete, and is very difficult to just remove.
So, it was known to be Casino Ready Mix's fault. After this they lost my paperwork, had at least five different people from their accounting dept. Calling me all of them having no idea what was going on, only that I had an outstanding balance. I wrote a full report of their mistakes to the owner Gary Bale with no reply. I send a letter a week with no reply, they don't care and continue to charge me, with interest, for bad product. Keep in mind, I had purchased 20 yards a week from them previously @$70.00 per yard, that's $1400.00 per week on average. Now they've lost my business over an $846.00 amount. I will not pay, out of principle, would you?
It's been over six months and they havn't figured any of my issues out or tried to compramise in any way. They even went back and tried to re-charge me on other invoices that they seem to have lost. Luckily I have all the receipts for these and after faxing them no less than five times they finally stopped billing me. Something fishy is going on with this company. I never write letters like this, I don't have time, but this company is something I feel everybody in my field should no about and be warned against...
