I bought a front loading washer and dryer from Samsung (WF328 & DV337). Both appliances worked great up until 8 weeks ago when the dryer suddenly stopped working - the display screen froze on the last cycle in use and would not turn on. I phoned Samsung and a work order was sent out to an authorized repair center to have someone come look at what the problem was. It was determined that the control panel needed to be replaced and as one was not in stock locally, the part was ordered from Korea. About 6 weeks later, the part arrived however the wrong part had been ordered and the correct part was supposedly ordered at that time. We have been managing without a dryer but this past Monday, the washing machine suddenly stopped working in the same manner as the dryer. Another call to Samsung and another wait for the service center to come out and diagnose the same problem. Again, no part in stock and a replacement ordered from Korea. We have been given no time frame for when the replacement parts will arrive. We asked for options; can you provide us with another set until the parts arrive, can you refund our money, can you expedite delivery of the parts so we have working appliances within a week or two at most. The service center in Panama has been unable to provide any answer to any of these questions or requests. They tell us they will see what they can do, but never return a call when they say they are going to. Each time we call, we get the run around - we just want an answer so that we can go buy another washer/dryer set if they can't do anything for us. I am highly unimpressed with the quality of the appliances - they are just over 1 year old and in a house with only 2 adults (so not a huge volume of laundry). The service is unbelievably poor and at this point I will buy anything but Samsung in the future and tell all of my friends the story so they don't run into the same problem as we have.
