I ordered a Le Corbusier coffee table. The merchant took the order but the day of the delivery I got a call saying that I would have to pay in cash or wait two weeks. It smelled fishy, so I said I'd rather wait two weeks. After some days, I got a call and they said they would charge half the amount and I would have to pay the balance in cash. I refused again. They said their company was having problems with their business credit card account. I said I would wait.
They called a few days later and told me the charge would appear divided in two because part of the charge was for the transportation company. We set a day for delivery (Sep. 9) but they never came. I called and they said they would deliver next Tuesday. I said I would be home on Friday, Sep. 16, and that if they did not deliver by then, I would cancel the order. Then, on 9-16, I unceremoniously got an email message saying the order had been cancelled... After my account had been charged three times! $219.87, $ 148.78, and $ 77.88. Completely unscrupulous. Beware!!!
