I had a mower that had been used less than 4 times. I went to use it on my lawn, first time this season, and it only stayed running for a second. I called and was put on hold, or hung up on. Once I persisted and talked to a manager, I was told that I would have to leave it with them for repair for a total of 2-3 weeks! I explained that I not only used it for my personal use, but for my business and could not afford to be without it for that long. The blatant indifference, with no other offer for assistance was thrown at me. This was a $500.00 mower! No one even offered suggestions, or to look at it to see if it was something as simple as an adjustment. (I eventually had a friend look at it, who turned the carburetor a fraction and it proceeded to work just fine!) why couldn't an employee offer the same suggestion? The blatant disregard for how to satisfy and maintain loyal customers, is mine blowing. I went to walmart and purchased a back up mower, knowing that at least their customer service aims to satisfy and truly assist their customers. I will never buy anything from sears again!!
