Our home was built in the 1920s and we are very proud of its original architectural and decorative touches. We wanted to put the best product on it to preserve the integrity of our home. Unfortunately we were fooled by Wallcoat's claims and hired them to paint our house and repair some woodwork. The workers sanded our decorative moulding, shutters, and woodwork that were original to the house and ruined it. They left the rounded moulding gauged, bumpy, and angled— you are never supposed to use a high powered belt sander on these types of mouldings.
After they painted they emptied buckets of dirty paint water onto our landscaping.in less than a year the Wallcoat product peeled and chipped allowing water to get in and get trapped behind it. This rotted the wood. There are places where the woodwork that they replaced has fallen off the house. We spent tens of thousands of dollars to have our house ruined. Phil refuses to honor the warrantee and fix the damage his crew and product caused. We are devastated. It will cost a fortune to replace the damage and the house will never be the same. The beautiful architectural woodwork that lasted 90 years was undone by Wallcoat in less than one.
