We purchased a John Elway leather sectional about 5 years ago. We also purchased a 5 year warranty. Last year, we laid a spoon on the leather for a few minutes. Upon picking up the spoon, the dye came off. We made a claim to the warranty company, but they said they knew nothing about the warranty or us.

This year, we put a plastic bowl on the leather. Guess what? The dye came off with it. I contacted Bassett and they responded that the leather is covered for defects for 1 year and that the dealer provided the warranty. The dealer has since closed. They gace us a toll free number of somebody I could call to re-dye the areas.

We owned a leather sectional made by Emerson Leather for 15 years, prior to buying this one. We gave it away to friends. It is now 20 years old and the leather is perfect! Bassett is selling custom furniture at custom prices, with the quality that is substandart to Chinese furniture. Run away from Bassett. I will never buy anything from them again!!!
