4 new appliances/9 service calls

Purchased all new stainless steeel KitchenAid appliances. The dishwasher door, no matter where it is adjusted, you have to push it up to close, it offers no upward assist. This how it was designed, for whatever reason, so I need to live with it.

The microhood grille was rippled as well as a ripple and a dent in the door. It took 3 technician visits to get a perfect part. They ordered a total of 6 grilles-all had varying degrees of ripples in the stainless steel. I had to settle for a part with the least amount of ripples after 7 scheduled visits by a technician.

The stove had ripples in the backsplash. The cooktop was not flush with caulking in places where it didn't belong, and much dust and debris between the glass on the door. I ordered a new stove. When it arrived, it was in worse condition than the one I already had.

I had to wait 7 weeks to receive my refridgerator. It arrived with the rear bottom panel caved in. Took a discount as the damage did not affec tits function. 1 week later, I found water puddling on my top shelf. The whole water line set up in the fridge needed to be replaced. 2 more techncian visits.

The worst part of the whole experience is having to arrange to be here for service. You need to be home from 8am -5pm. No 2-4 hour windows are available-even the day of service. You just need to sit and wait for a service technician to arrive.

For 45 years I have always loved my KitchenAid appliances. It was a name I could trust. No more. Products are made in China and Mexico and they just dont care about the qiality. Thus, I would never recommend them to a friend or a stranger.

I dont believe this is an isolated incident. My sister had the same type of quality issues with her KitchenAid appliances. And since Whirlpool bought Amana, Maytag and who knows who else, my next appliances will have to be.

Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company. Plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
