On August 30 my wife and I attended an event at the Fort Worth Convention Center. James Deely and his cohort Raphael were there with another young man showcasing their masonary backyard BBQ's. It seemed beleiveable enough - I mean here these guys are with two displays there and everything seemed to be on the up and up. Unfortunately, not so. My wife kept insisting taht we wait to make a purchase - becasue the deal just seemed to good to be true. They were willing to sell us the display for halp price to make room for new inventory and because they did not want to load it up for the next show in Dallas. They offered to take ten percent down and hold the item til they could get the crane out to our house after their next show.
The check was cashed the very next day - when the bank opened. Hmmmmmm
For the next six weeks we attempted to get hold of them and either got an answering machine or a delay in when the crane guy could come out to our house to view the area to drop it in the back yard. It was the display model - it did not have to be built.
Sept-Oct - Nov - Dec-Jan-Feb-March - April was the last we heard from them - by then our bank could not reverse the check they cashed for $720.00. I have tried several numbers and addresses to find them without any luck.
I am now reporting this to the police as grand theft. I have given them every opportunity to simply refund our down payment - my wife spoke with James Deely last year and he blamed his 'EX Partner" Raphael for ripping us off and he also said Raphael ripped him off. James Deely claimed he was in California and was not at the show in Fort Worth TX, but I insisted that I met him as they introduced themselves to us.
Do not do business with these characters!!! Report them to the fort worth / dallas police with any information you have on them.
There are other people out there who have been ripped off by these two.
