Where is the old HP review

I am currently a PhD graduate student at Florida Atlantic University, in Medical Physics.in December of last year I purchased a HP laptop directly from HP using their phone sales option. During this purchase I customized (upgraded) my purchase with 8 GB of RAM; additionally I was advised by this salesperson that I could upgrade to 1 TB of Hard Drive Memory and as my PhD work requires it I also purchased that.

When the computer arrived it had a 2 X 500MB dual hard drive which is not the same as a 1 TB hard drive. However I was advised by HP that it would function as 1 TB.

That is not the case and when I tried to exchange this computer (after the 21 day return period had expired) I was initially told that, due to the time that had elapsed between the purchase and the phone call (approx. 90 days), the HP policy was not to remedy this mistake and there was nothing that could be done. After complaining about the misinformation I had received during the customization I was told to return the computer and HP would adjust the hard drives such that they would function as a 1 TB unit, which was exactly what I wanted. I received the unit yesterday with a note that what had been promised could not be done and as the 21 days had expired I was stuck with a computer that does not come as advertised.

Having worked in Silicon Valley for many years, in fact I was an officer at one of Tom Perkins' companies, I am aware of the mystique that surrounds the company that Dave Packard and Bill Hewlett started. For many years HP was the gold standard by which other Silicon Valley companies were measured. The treatment of my problem by HP is not in that tradition; I was sold a computer that was not what I was led to believe I was buying and this new HP refuses to make their mistake right.

I do not want my money returned but just want a credit so I can buy the (HP) computer I need and was led to believe I was ordering.
