I purchased a Microwave at Sears / K Mart in Westwood, NJ in Early March. I left the store with my receipt and a delivery date of April 7. Several days after I purchased the microwave I got a call from Patty in the appliance dept telling me that there was a problem with my order and she asked if I could stop back at the store to correct it. I drove all the way back to the store and when I got there she told me that she voided my order and we had to redo it because they undercharged me 47.00. I could not believe that she lured me back to the store under false pretenses and wanted another 47.00 from me! She gave me this whole story about how her job was on the line, which was a total lie because she did not even sell me the microwave. Finally she got a manager who told me that it was no problem because sears/kmart made the error. Patty proceded to redo the sale, but made a huge process out of the whole thing telling me that she could not complete the order. I was at the store over an hour arguing about what they were trying to do. Since Patty cancelled my original order, apparently the delivery date got screwed up, however, I did not know that at the time. On April 6th, Sears made two calls to me - one to my home and left a message, and one to my cell confirming delivery of the microwave the following day. That evening I had my contractor come to my home and cut the hole in the wall for the microwave. My new countertops were schedules for installation on April 8th. On the morning of April 7th, I got a call from Sears telling me that the microwave was not shipped from the warehouse and it would not be here till May 6th! I made a dozen calls to Sears/kmart and no one would speak to me. I finally called the corporate office and spoke to three different resolution people (I have their names and company id numbers) While they were all very nice, no one did anything about all this. I explained to them that I was having a party at my home that weekend with 40 people coming and I had a hole in my wall. One of them referred me to Daryl Allen, who was also very nice, but so far has done nothing to help solve this.
This morning I got a message from Patty that she found me another microwave that would fit in the exact hole in the wall and that she could have it to me on Monday, April 18th. At this point I was willing to take another one just to put an end to this. She kept telling me that she had to speak to someone else to verify.By the end of the day today, she told me that she could not deliver it on Monday after all. It just goes on and on. Meantime, Sears has already sent me a bill for this microwave that I do not have. There was just too many lies told to me to even fit in this complaint. Bottom line is that Sears screwed up and won't own up to it and will do absolutely nothing to help or compensate for their screw up. I will never shop there again.
