Overpriced installation

The spouse and that I visited Homedepot to purchase a brand new front door and screen-door. Selected from their "inventory", settled a $30 deposit, then waited more than 1 week to possess some man come to "make sure" and re-gauge the dimensions I currently supplied them. Obviously, our dimensions supplied were proper and it is a "inventory"/"regular" dimension. Another week later, obtain a telephone call informing people that anything is "ready" and informed us the cost, i.E. Nearly $1k to get a $205 entrance door and $300 screen-door.installment might operate us about $200 for that top door and $100 for that screen-door. Because of our work times, I offered them the "thumbs-up" to complete the task and compensated with my bank card via telephone. Got a telephone call about 4 hours later, informing me that people required a permit to get a doorway! Unsure of our precise signal enforcement regulations within our region but appeared only a little unusual but whatsoever. Was advised it had been $181 for that permit. Compensated again via charge card for that. Got interested and named our regional signal administration boss who recommended that allows for top gates are $108. Quit a note using the installment supervior, or whatever his silly name is, and requested he contact me back since I'd inquires about why the permit cost is significantly more than exactly what the rules administration division explained.
