I am stuck with over $2,000.00 of building materials at my job site because Lowe's will not allow any returns after 90 days. I see now that I made a really big mistake by dealing with Lowes in the first place. Now I have to pay for my mistake. I am in the middle of a large (over $100k) home renovation project. Here in New York we have a lot of regulations and government agencies along with inspections, disputes, waiting and confusion.
I have purchased a total of about $15,000.00 of materials from Lowes. Of this, about $2,000.00 of materials were for one part of my project. Unfortunately, there was a legal action which caused this part of my project to be delayed and finally cancelled.
I am now stuck with all the materials at my job site because Lowes will not allow returns after 90 days. All the bureaucratic processes plus the Christmas and New Year's holidays delayed my receipt of final notice until 101 days after my purchase. My advice to anyone is to learn from my mistake and shop at Home Depot where they have a more accomodating return policy. Don't be stuck like me. Don't shop Lowes.
