I purchased a laptop for my kids during the christmas holiday`s. My son was using it and it slipped from his hands and fell on the floor, he tried to catch it and he fell on top of it, breaking the screen. I purchased the extended warranty but they said that the screen was not covered. To repair the screen it was going to cost us $359.00 but since we were trying to re-establish our credit we decide to had it repaired. I took it in on the 28th of january and a week later was when they told us of the repairs needed, so we went ahead and told them to do the repairs. We waited for them to call to say that it was finished but they never called us. I called them on the 28th of feb. And they said that the technichan had not be told anything so it just sat ther for almost 3 weeks. The tech received the o.K. On the 26th of feb. And that was when he send it to have it repaired. I called to speak to the manager to complain and it`s already the 26th of march and he has not called. On the 31th of feb. They called and said that the laptop was repaired, we picked it up the next day at the warehouse and took it home, i used for one hour and the screen went black. Took it back 2 days later and it was still showing that it was beening repaired and that we had not picked it up for the warehouse. We left it at the store on the 2nd of march for repairs and waited for them to call us back. I called on the 16th of march and they said they would not be able to check what was wrong with it until the 1st week of april because they were 3 weeks behind of schedule and they only had 3 tech`s and over 250 items to be repaired. I said for them to hire more techs, and the lady said that it would not help because they only have one machine to check what is wrong with the items and it takes like 2 to 3 hours to check each item that needs to be repaired. I`m still waiting for the manager to call me. I will not buy from conn`s anymore due to the long wait.
