I called sears in January for repair on an Amana side by side. It had quit making ice and finally quit cooling. After insisting on service in less than a month, I was promised and received a service call in about a week. I also bought a years warranty with the service call for a total investment of about $250.
In about 10 days the same problem occurred again. No ice and no cooling. This time No amount of pleading would get a service call in less than a month. It is scheduled for March 3. Today it has been two weeks since I called for service. It is Feb 15. I believe they claim next day service in their ads.
I am not happy. I have bought three appliances from sears this year. I'm not likely to buy another.
