Windows 7 upgrade problems - compaq presario CQ60

I ordered a laptop free windows upgrade 7 clearly stated on screen I went in and proceeded to build my computer it arrived oct 14th I waited oct 22 no upgrade can not upgrade because it was windows vista basic that was not clarified when ordering this product made several phone calls they even had my information wrong or could not find it. HP will not exchange nor upgrade my computer if i had known that I could have waited and purchased my laptop after oct 22, I was not in a hurry to recieve the computer the only reason I ordered then was because i was under impression I would get the upgrade. I have better service with my dell even after the warrenty has gone out they save your computer information and all upgrades you can pratically do yourself by typing in your computer no. Online.
I will not order my new desktop from HP, I will order it from dell. Hp lost my buisiness in one falled order.
