My husband and I saw and add for a livingroom set for $888. We drove all the way to the store to check it out. We liked what we saw and ordered the couch and loveseat. We also ordered a coffee and end-table set. We arranged to have it delivered to our new house in North Carolina, even though the store was in Massachusetts.
Two weeks later we got a call from the warehouse. It seems that the manufacturer in CHINA does not actually have any of the fabric needed to make these couches. And although we placed our order in April, our living room would not be delivered until the end of AUGUST! We cancelled the entire order - end tables and all. We began receiving bills for $98. When we call;ed about this, we were told that the $98 was a delivery charge. Delivery of what? We asked. We cancelled the order, nothing is being delivered, thus there is no delivery charge.
We ended up making more than a dozen phone calls to Customer Service, the warehouse, the store in Natick MA etc. Before someone with common sense finally took the delivery charge off the account.
Do yourself a favor and do not buy furniture from JC Penney!
