We have Cross Country Home Warranty company for our house appliance and such. We called them because our Air Conditioner stopped working. We have been without Air conditioning for over a week now.
When I called, they told me that a decision would be made within 48 hours (which took much longer). We were not told anything except they didn't know anything as it was being reviewed. They kept promising to call us back, but they did not. We had to keep calling. They finally sent the parts to another town and they were the wrong parts. Plus, they didn't send all of them at once. So, when the tech came out to fix it, he opened the box and it was less amps that what we needed.
Now the tech tried to fix it, however, there was a leak in the line (supposedly which is now a new claim) and all of the freon escaped leaving it hot in the house again. The funny thing is that it was checked for leaks before. I think that the technician when he connected the unit back either missed it before and accidentally caused the leak.
Now CCWH is telling us that this is a new claim and they only cover up to $1,000.00 and any time from now on if we have a problem, we will have to wait until Feb. 4. It's not covered. This is not fair or honest. We got a call and were told that they will go and fix what was already supposed to be fixed, but the other problems is ours and will not be covered. They should have just replaced the condensing unit instead of piecing it together for future problems (as they know it will be).ccHW are cheap and dishonest. I would not recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware!
