Greetings! My name is Vaughn and I am the Maintenance Manager for Mattress Mart in Columbus, Ohio. After reading the reviews here pertaining to Simply Organic Sleep, Live For Tomorrow, etc., I can understand some of your concerns about your bedding purchases. Let me begin by saying that Simply Organic Sleep DOES NOT own any of our Mattress Mart stores, nor do they own any individual part of Mattress Mart. Our company contracts with Shawn (assumed owner of Simply Organic Sleep) to build their mattress products, as do several other bedding companies throughout the United States. We also franchise with several other much larger corporations in the bedding industry such as Lady Americana and Simmons, among others.
I can't speak for all those other bedding companies that contract with Shawn because I do not work for those companies. HOWEVER, I do work for Mattress Mart. And I can assure anyone that reads this that we at Mattress Mart take great pride in the manufacturing of all bedding components that we sell in our stores.
Mattress Mart was founded in 1984 and has since built a reputation of producing high quality bedding with the best warranty (90 sleep guarantee, no questions asked policy) in the industry. At Mattress Mart, we follow very strict standards set down not only by the upper management, but also by the OWNERS of the company.in other words, nothing knowingly leaves our factory if it's not built within the standard specs given to us by the highest of management. And trust me, THEY DO monitor our work on a DAILY basis.
As I said, I cannot speak for other bedding companies. But, in the highly unlikely event that a Mattress Mart customer is not completely satisfied with their purchase, they may return the purchased items within 90 days for a QUICK refund or exchange. After 90 days, our individual bedding warranties are such that the customer may bring their bedding back to the factory for free (under warranty guidelines) and prompt repair for the life of the entire actual warranty (in many cases, 15 years or more). As well, Mattress Mart IS a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau of Ohio and ALWAYS honors their warranties within (and often times, outside) the set guidelines of such warranties. For proof-positive of this statement, simply visit the BBB of Ohio web site and type Mattress Mart in the search box.
Other companies that contract with Simply Organic Sleep may or may not cut corners to make a sale, I don't really know. But, here at Mattress Mart, we take a heck of a lot of pride in what we manufacture and sell in our stores and online, including bedding components built for Shawn's companies (Simply Organic Sleep, Live For Tomorrow, Dremata, etc.). And I should know. I have worked at Mattress Mart for over 15 years. And I am the individual responsible for adjusting, fine-tuning and, in some cases, modifying our machines in order to perfect the products that we sell.
I hope this clears up any questions or confusion about Mattress Mart and our position in the manufacturing of organic bedding products in our facility.
Just one more little note, we absolutely take extraordinary measures to keep pests such as bedbugs out of our facility. We are required to use a germicide/insecticide called 'SteriFab' in the sterilization of all used bedding that we pick up when we deliver new bedding to a customer. We also contract with a highly reputable exterminating company to keep all other pests out of our facility at all times. Because surely, we wouldn't be doing business for very long if we failed in this high-profile area. And for what it's worth, I personally would not work in such an environment.
