Rooms To Go
Ripoff. Buy from Rooms 2 Go and watch your furniture fall apart!

If you are going to spend money on furniture, DON'T spend it at Rooms 2 Go! I purchased furniture in March and had an immeadiate reaction to either the fabric protector or the SUPER cheap particle board type wood that they make their furniture from. I was sick for four weeks with upper respiratory problems, itchy eyes, and itchy skin when I sat on the sofa.

I was also dismayed by the cheap looking furniture that they brought me. It did not look like the furniture from the store that I tried out. One of the arms on the sofa was a little loose and the ottoman was squished down on one side. I did not worry about any of this because Rooms 2 go was going to deliver new furniture without the sealant to try to solve my breathing problems.

Before they could deliver the furniture, the breathing problems cleared out due to my daily airing out of the furniture. I canceled the new stuff in case it was the wood that I was allergic to, (I did not want to spend another month coughing up a lung.) I told my sales rep that I canceled the order but now I was concerned about the arm on the sofa, the ottoman, and the two board with STAPLES that were now sticking out of the back of the sofa. The boards came out when I tipped the sofa back about three inches off the floor to look for the remote. The boards came out when I gently placed the sofa down. One of the staples sticking out put a big gash in my hand. The sales rep told me that would be covered by the warranty and they would either fix it or replace the sofa. RIGHT!!!

I was unable to call and set up an appt. Until the first of July because of an exended family vacation. The oh-so-friendly customer service rep was very sympathetic and sent out an evil furniture repair guy. Now, everyone needs to know that these "REPAIR" guys are only there to blame YOU for the poor quality of the furniture. He barely looked at the boards sticking out of the back of the sofa, (I guess he had aready seen boards sticking out of sofas MANY times before!) He tilted the sofa back to look at the arm, (of course now the boards stick out even further and I have proof on video). He pronounced it was all unfixable and that it looked like someone had been playing rough on the furniture!!! I told him that it looked like someone had sold me some cheaply made furniture. He said that ALL furniture is cheaply made.

A few days later I called a RUDE customer service rep who told me that I voided the warranty on the sofa when I tipped it back to get the remote. She informed me that normal wear and tear on furniture meant that you can't move your furniture, you can only sit on it. When I choose to move the sofa, I voided the warranty.

Let me tell you, people who are reading this letter, I cannot believe that a store would treat customers this way. I have asked for a second opinion from another furniture repair person next week. I would also like for this person to look at a broken board sticking out of the ottoman and the thumping noise you hear when you lean against the arm of the chair or loveseat. I am very disappointed with R2Go and am planning to picket the store on SATURDAYS as well as contact the OAG and a lawyer.

Wish me lucK!!!
