I had Bloomin' Blinds come to my home to make a repair on two large blinds. I was not home when the gentleman showed up, so my husband, who was working from home, and on the phone, signed off on the repair receipt when the man asked him to.
Upon my return, I inspected the work only to find out that the blind he was supposed to replace a ladder on was now 6" shorter than the length of the window; then I looked at the other blind that he was supposed to repair, by replacing the turning mechanism, it was replaced backward, but worked OK.
I promptly placed a call to the business to discuss the short blind, and was told that the person who repaired the blind was not in the office, and the person who answered my call assured me that Bloomin Blinds would make good on their work.
After all is said and done, I placed several calls to Bloomin' Blinds, left messages, and even spoke to customer service, but no one ever called me back, or offered to work the situation out with me. I was charged $55 for the work, and $35 for the service call.
And if all that isn't enough, I found out that I could go up to my local hardware store and buy a brand new blind for $45!
I am ashamed of my naivety, but wanted to share my story so that no one else will have this happen to them.
