I ordered a $205 pump from Pond Solutions, Inc. At the end of September. The order was promptly acknowledged and my credit card charge occurred within 5 days. The order was to be shipped within two days. It is now October 29 and I have received no response to increasingly concerned emails asking for the order status and finally a refund. Also, no response to phone messages (but they give no phone number and I had to sift local business directories to find a number with an answering machine.)
My complaint matches others here and elsewhere (e.G. Dave's Garden). Actually, I had two problems. The first involved an ebook order. When it didn't arrive I sent an email noting the failure and indicating I needed it to select one of their pumps. They stated it had been sent electronically, but there was no evidence of this on my computer. Like a fool, I assumed it had been a network problem and went ahead with the pump order.
Dumb. I've now learned that however cool the website, check for credentials and complaints before ordering.
