My family and I lost our home, 2 vehicles, all of our belongings and our family dog in a house fire on June 28,1998.
A contractor by the name of Derrell Webb of Legacy Construction contacted us almost immediately, promising us anything and everything to gain our trust and our business.
Now, 19 months later, we are still unable to live in our home and furthermore he has not held up to any of his promises. He has been given more than $65,000.00 dollars and $25,000.00 dollars of this, he received without our knowledge or permission The majority of the progress on our home is due to using our life savings and we have had to refinance our home in order to repair and rebuild our shattered lives.
What little work Legacy Construction has been responsible for, in no way, equals the amount of money they have been given.
After meeting with the Registrar of Contractors on November15,1999 Darrell Webb was demanded to finish the home within 15 days. He did not attempt to respond or comply with the demands. We have since found out he is a firechaser type contractor preying on distraught and vulnerable families who
sees them on the news after they have lost everything.
He has recently filed bankruptcy on Legacy Construction and has been able to open yet another business as Quorom Development. This is his 6th license in 5 years of doing business. He operates out of his home on Daley Lane in Phoenix, AZ
We have had media attention to no avail therefor I am asking for your assistance in trying to protect any further families in AZ from being ripped off by this fraudulent scamming firechaser. Unfortunately this happens all over the United States more than we realize and I would like to remind people there are contractors doing this type business.
