Wine Enthusiast sold us a $179.99 countertop appliance for storing an opened wine bottle, featuring both thermo-electric cooling as well as Argon gas to preserve the wine. There were three problems:
From the first, the unit's fans were irritatingly noisy;
Within a week, the unit dripped some substance which permanently stained the countertop;
Within a few months, the unit failed and heated the wine bottle instead of cooling it!
We wrote to Wine Enthusiast at 333 N. Bedford Rd in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., but received no reply of any kind.
