Roofing Company Rip-Off

We were referred to this company in June by our homebuyers warranty agency for a leak repair on our roof. Mike McNair showed up and did not ever go up to inspect the roof. He took one look at the leak on the ceiling and made the assumption of where the leak on the roof actually was.
While the company was prompt with the estimate, they actually took three months to show up and do the "repair." We assumed the leak had actually been fixed in August, when we handed over a check for $1,400.
Fast forward to spring 2009 when we discovered that the leak had not been fixed, and that it was actually in a different area. If Mr. McNair would have went up into the attic and actually you know, done his job, he'd have seen this.in June of we had a second roofing company come, poke around the attic, wait for a good rain to inspect for water in order to find the leak area, and get up on the roof to look it over in order to give us an estimate for a repair. The second company got up on the roof and pulled some tiles off and we discovered that it was highly likely that McNair Roofing did not even do the work they charged us for based on the age and appearance of the nails the new roofing company pulled out of the tiles.
The new repair estimate is no more than $750 for the repair of the real leak. So not only did we get ripped off with the first charge compared to the new company for the same amount of work, he didn't do the work he charged us for, nor did he offer a warranty for his "work."
