During the summer of when I was in process of buying 14 Bogardus Road, my house inspector noticed a leak from rain over stairway. (It was raining hard that day of inspection.) The current homeowner assured me that she had a new roof on house and a five-year warranty that would be valid for new homeowner. (I have document from Skyway Roofing honoring five-year warranty to me, new homeowner.) Existing homeowner said she would call Skyway Roofing then and have them come back and repair roof where leak seemed to be located.
When I moved into 14 Bogardus August, I soon noticed a leak over stairs during heavy rains. I called Skyway often (usually whenever it rained hard). They often told me they would send someone over to repair roof. I was present during two or three of their visits, but the roof has not been repaired. (They are having difficulty finding problem source.) The ceiling over the stairs now has mold and is torn. I have asked them to repair ceiling as well.
I called Skyway Roofing Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. I have not had a call back. (It rained very hard today, and I came home to a puddle of rainwater on my stairs again.)
I am trying to sell my home, but I am sure a new prospective buyer would not want to have to repair the roof. I need results. I need Skyway to come back and spend some time finding the source of the leak coming in from the roof.
