Quality BPOS is an online company that provides Broker Price Opinions to banks, mortgage companies and other financial institutions. These BPOS are used to determine estimated market value of a particular property.
Quality BPOS recruits real estate agents across the country to prepare this BPOS in the states that the agents are licensed. The company lays out the cost to be paid to the agent for each assignment.
Earlier this year, I registered as an agent. However, I did not get an assignment until June. I received two assignment which were due in 3 days. Each report submitted were to be paid $50.00. After these assignments were completed, I received another 2 assignments. Each report, again $50.00 each. After the assignments were completed, an email was sent about when payment would be receive for June's work. The email response was 15th of the month. As such, payment for June would be received on July 15.
August 5 arrived. No check! The company continued to send assignments. However, I emailed them and indicated that I would not complete any additional assignments until payment was received for June's BPSO ($200)
Several emails have been sent to the company since August 5. No response from the company. No email or no phone calls. With further investigation, the company does not list an address, phone number or contact person. Just a customer service email address.
Yes, this is a lesson learned. I am sharing my experience to prevent this from happening to another real estate agent.
