Before you lay out your hard earned money on a palm harbor home, I suggest you read all the reports on usacomplaints.com.Com If you still decide to buy one of these I would suggest you go to a doctor and get a frontal labotamy! I am a palm harbor owner and have had nothing but problems with my palm harbor crap box scinse day one! After viewing palm harbors new and improved web site I almost fell off my chair laughing at all the lies they tell in there online tour! Top quality cabinets, membrane under the roof shingles, top quality lumber, trained factory craftsman, ONE WORD... Bull!!! Where was all this when my home was built?
First and foremost membrane under my shingles? Is that what you call masking paper? Thats whats under my shingles MASKING PAPER! And the roof has fallen apart from day one besides the ridge cap not being installed correctly by an unlicensed contractor they hired the roof is installed with stapels and has blown off in places scinse day one! Also has leaked in many places My windows leak and are staining the window sills in many rooms and actually rusting out the window frames on the inside of this crap box! Also I have had 2 windows blow there seals and now are dirty and hazed over form moisture and dirt and can no tbe cleaned! Its between the 2 pains of glass that i was told by there salesman they were double pained another lie there double glazed BIG DIFFERANCE They were never sealed to the house without any kind of caulking from the factory thats why they all leak! Also the windows have no weather stripping of any kind so my window sills get enough dirt on them to plant potatoes and i am breathing this dirt all the time!
Ok now for the state of the art kitchen cabinets Mine are second rat junk more like the kind you would find in a cheap trailer pure garbage! They have fallen apart from day one, the sliders palm harbor usesare the cheapest kind available anywhere! I have had to replace everyone at least once and some a dozen times! I have drawers with dish towels breaking of the cheap sliders all the time I would suggest to anyone who is stupid enough to buy one of these crap boxes to pull out a drawer and look inside you would be surprised what you will see! The clearcoat finish has come off alot of my cabinet drawers cheap cheap cheap just like the cabinets! The cabinets are 3 sided meaning they have no back they are not a box like quality cabinets are there built on the wall the wall is the back of your cabinets!!! Nothing but pure junk all press board with real wood door fronts, the rest is crap! I am sure they will offer you cabinet upgrades for a nice chunk of change more junk wit a higher price tag!
Ok now there trained factory craftsmen what a joke that is when i was at the factory, NOBODY SPOKE ENGLISH (ILLEGALS) THEY HAD TO HIRE INTURPERTERS TO TALK TO THE TRAINED FACTORY STAFF! What a joke! I also found out after they took my money that there are carcynigens in the home that causes cancer and illness from all the glues and laminets they use I have copd! The warnings that are required to be all over the home warning people about it were removed by there general manager just so he could sell more homes at my risk! Palm harbor homes are built almost 100% with staples! Not nails not construction glues, STAPLES! My walls are warped from one end to another and my cielings from using wet wood (studs) I have seen some of the studs there full of knots bowed and just pure crap this is what they build your home with you will never know unless you look behind the walls and cielings! I have holes under some of my crap cabinets exposing the eliments and allowing mice to get into my home i have had to fix or repair! I also have a giant hole under my cheap tub that you can put a fist in energy star rating BULL! This house has more leaks then a piece of swiss cheesI help kool my town and heat it in winter time! I just wonder where is all this good stuff they brag about was when my home was built!
I also have siding that has nail popped of the outside studs (the only nails i ever found in my home) There supposed state of the art ac/heating Is a bigger joke i have cold rooms and hot rooms a contractor they had hired to fix my ac/heat problems even laughed and said they would never design let alone install such a shoddy system that it was a joke! Trust me it is I have absolutly nothing good to say about my palm harbor crap box They lied and ripped me off on everthing and as i see by many reports on here alot of other suckers too! Don't waste your time writing the president/ceo mr kinner he could care less all you will get back is a form letter we all get the same letter he's the biggest joke in palm harbor if i was a share holder i would demand this man be removed from the board and all his cronnie friends! There warrenties are worthless as you can see by reading alot of these reports they do not, and will not honor them! You have to sue them! Like so many are this company only cares about one thing YOUR MONEY! And once they get it your lied to and treated like a second class citizen To this day i have never gotten an appoligy or an im sorry for all the crap we have put you through THEY DO NOT CARE PERIOD AND NEVER WILL! I could write about so much more about my home but this should give you an idea of a crooked company that will screw you ever chance they get! Even if they they to your face and say those magic words they use all the time YOUR ARE FAVORITE CUSTOMER! CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!
