Our house was built in Casa Grande, AZ. It was shoddy from day one!!! Electrical work was horrible. While rying to install a ceiling fan in the bedroom with unknown crossed wires, he was knocked off the ladder. Problems with the kitchen floor left us with big wrinkles in vinyl flooring. There was NO insulation in the roof. After a year of complaining about the heat in here and the excessive amount of time our air conditioner had to run, they came out and discovered no insulation in the roof. They removed the roof on both sides and blew in about 56 bags of insulation.
We recently had some strong winds that blew off shingles. My husband climbed up to replace them and said there are gaps so wide that you can see the insulation. We have had the house 3 years now and guess what??? Not their problem, or so they say. How could we have known about this during the first year?
My advice to anybody is DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING A PALM HARBOR HOME!!! They do not care about correcting problems that a decent quality control system should have found and corrected before this house left the factory. They produce junk. Save yourself all the heartache and problems. Just stay away from Palm Harbor...
