HOME BUYER CONNECTION INC abused and ripped off associates, possible danger to Public

Home Buyer Connection Owners Dishonest Cheats
POSSIBLE DANGER to PUBLIC

A former associate of Home Buyer Connection reports being threatened during training 6 times in the first two days. Office environment was demeaning and degrading where associates were routinely demeaned and disrespected.

Owner Mark DeMaio has a history of abusive behavior towards associates that has become well known in local circles. One associate was cheated of thousands of dollars in sales commissions even after the owner publicly announced commissions would be paid. But that is a personal matter.

Two such associates finally left the organization after levels of abuse reached a level where no amount of money was worth staying
After working 80 to 100 hours per week associates were subjected to harrassment and abuse. An especially low point came when employees were forced to spend several hours in office cubicles shouting company rhetoric.

HOME BUYER CONNECTION represents potential danger to prospective clients. Consumers should enter into business relations with extreme caution. While billing itself as a BUYERS AGENCY, it remains unclear as to whether sales efforts are in clients best interests.

Marketing efforts are directed towards the public (apartment dwellers) by means of mass mailings where potential clients are wowed by artificially low monthly payments. When customers call the office they are given a carefully scripted PHONE SPIEL that assoicates must deliver. Customers entering the office are told how LOW their monthly payments will be.

The payments can be misleading since the come on is a SPECIAL TWO-ONE BUYDOWN PROGRAM.
In fact the Home Buyer Connection Inc. Touts over 90 such programs. This is just smoke and mirrors!!!
Buyers should proceed with extreme caution. There are in fact NO unusual programs that are not available with any real estate agency or builder though these do vary from place to place.

The SPECIAL TWO-ONE BUYDOWN, may in fact be dangerous to the prospective buyers who are most often underqualified to purchase. While there ARE artificially reduced first year payments, payments in subsequent years may increase by $150 dollars a month or more!!!
In reality the buyer is paying for the cost of the 2-1 buydown over the life the mortgage. Buyers will be much more likely unable to make monthly house payments in successive years because of this tactic. The default rate of Home Buyer Connection clients is therefore much higher than the Valley average.

A home buyer who is losing their HOME is not concerned about the default rate you are concerned about the loss of your HOME, Your CREDIT, and your HARD EARNED MONEY.
If FAMILIES are displaced as a consequence there is real suffering.

Another DANGER to buyers is that of being UNDER-qualified to make a purchase. Home Buyer Connection tactics include bringing potential buyers to NEW HOME communities where they will need to make good-faith deposits of perhaps $500 to $2500. While new home builders are VERY HONEST, if a buyer does not qualify that buyer may LOSE part or ALL of their earnest money.

HOME BUYER CONNECTION is not a full service realtor. How can an agent represent the BEST interests of a client if THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED to tell clients about existing homes (it is not convenient for HOME BUYER CONNECTION to sell used homes. They want the FAST money.

Persons having concerns may file their own complaints here or by writing the ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF REAL ESTATE.
