Known Defect, Cover Up, Unresponsive, Fleetwide Problem

We have an almost 2 yr. Old GE side-by-side refrigerator. Our water line is frozen in our door. We've thawed it out once, but it froze back up a day later.

This is a known problem with GE Refrigerators— a fleetwide problem. Such a big problem, GE created a Water Dispenser Heater product to correct this issue. A problem that really should have been recalled or fixed altogether going back as far as I can tell to 2004.

All three people at GE I spoke with said they had never heard of the problem. I find that amazing. You can research this issue and it's all over the Internet— even my neighbor has had this issue with their brand new GE Refrigerator.

I think GE is covering this issue up. When I mentioned this issue being widespread, I was told— can you show me this issue on our website.interesting that you can't find this issue or complaints on their website— cover up? I was told that GE can't be held responsible for postings on the Internet or my neighbor.

I truly hope someone cares and looks into this issue and holds GE responsible. They should have made a recall on this design defect a long time ago.
