Blinds Expo Floors Inc poor customer service ripoff is unwilling to satisfy custome

They took months to deliver merchandise...

We sat with Patricia Stecklein to select window treatments for our home on October 26. The total cost was $4649.00 consisting of the following coverings:

Master bath $500.00
Living room $1527.00
Front Door $75.00
Bedroom $763.00
Kitchen $132.00
Family room $480.00
Breakfast room (sliding glass door) $296.00
Dining Room $876.00

Patricia made a verbal commitment to have all window coverings installed the day we moved into our new home. After we made our selection, we tried calling Patricia several times with questions concerning our selection. She called me back about a week later leaving me a voice message stating that she was sick. I attempted to call her again to no avail. When it was time for her to place our order, she called me to get our moving information. I told her December 30th. My questions went unanswered.

On December 30th only a portion of my order arrived for installation. The items installed were the four bedrooms, the family room, the kitchen & the dining room. $2398.00 worth of merchandise did not show up. These pieces were very critical in protecting our privacy, which was violated.

About a week later, after adjusting our work schedule, the following items were delivered for installation:
The living room and the breakfast rooms sliding glass door coverings. The sliding glass door received vertical blinds that were installed on a track different than my request. At this point we were still missing $575.00 worth of merchandise and had to wait for the correct track to come in.

In February, I rearranged my schedule again to accept the remainder of my order. It was appalling to me to learn that my vertical blinds track was delivered incorrect again, and my master bath coverings, which were custom made, were not the style that I ordered. The only successful installation on this trip was my front door coverings.

At this point I called to complain about the level of service I had been getting. I was put in touch with Donna Scallion who promised to see this issue resolved. I requested 10% of my total order to be returned to me. Donna verbally agreed that that was a reasonable request and would accommodate it once all merchandise was delivered.

In March, I finally received my bathroom coverings. However, parts were still missing from the installation (knobs for the shudders). I also received the correct track for my sliding glass door. When contacted Donna Scallion regarding the 10%, she claimed to have misunderstood me. She didnt think that $465.00 back from a $4649.00 order was reasonable.

At this point, we feel that our relationship with Blinds Expo, a subsidiary of Floors, Inc. Has been severed on poor terms. This company handled this situation in an unsatisfactory manner. We plan to escalate our compliant to every consumer possible, as well as, file an official complaint to the better business bureau.

A few days after sending a copy of this letter, Blinds Expo called me back saying they could give me 10% back on my total purchase. Still waiting as of 4/2.
