We had a appliance protection warranty that we pay to GMAC Home Warranty. We pay them $40.00 per month. We called GMAC Home Warranty to tell them we had no heat. After numerous calls over a two day period finally temp control showed up. They inspected the furnace and told us we needed a new furnace because the heat exchanger was cracked. They said the furnace would be $5000.00 installed. Temp Control called GMAC Home Warranty to ask if the repair or new furnace would be covered. GMAC Home Warranty denied any work to be performed. We called GMAC Home Warranty after the gentleman from TEMP CONTROL left and they stated that Temp Control stated to them that the furnace was not maintained, in bad shape. He basically told GMAC Home Warranty that it was our fault because the furnace was in such bad shape. We feel he lied to GMAC Home Warranty about the furnace condition so he could make the money on installing a new furnace. We had another HVAC Tech take a look at the furnace and all the furnace needed was a fan control board for $250.00.
